  This is a good library, probably one of the best in the area. It has a plentiful selection of books, periodicals, dvds and other media; and is spacious with two large floors, many computer terminals, and ample room to hold mettings or just sit and read.
  
  The reason I am giving it three stars only is that in my opinion someone is going overboard with what appears to be the bathroom deodorizers especially in the men's rooms. The smell can be strong to the extent that not only do I notice it outside the bathrooms (one should not detect this scent outside the bathrooms, only inside), the scent can permeate much of each of the two library floors. One gets hit with it upon entering the sliding doors on the first floor, when walking past the checkout area, again when arriving on the second floor at the top of the stairs, near the information desk, and then especially in the magazine area. It is difficult to find an unaffected space to sit for too long a time. I realize bathroom deodorizers are necessary but not to this extent. Recently when inside the bathrooms the smell has been so strong I have had to hold my breath.
  
  Artificial scents are not good for the environment; they are usually petroleum based and also can harm the human body. They can disrupt the endocrine system especially in children, cause headaches including migraines, can aggravate respiratory problems such as asthma and sinus conditions, etc. (NIH has links to papers about all this.)
  
  I do not want to go overboard here; I do like this library. It is just that deodorizers and air fresheners do cause some people problems. It is better to not use them at all, but if their use cannot be avoided then they should not be used to the extent they can be noticed outside of their intended areas, especially throughout significant regions of public buildings such as a libraries.
